Planning Commission

The Planning Commission is responsible for writing a Town Plan and Zoning Ordinances, which are then reviewed by the Selectboard and ultimately placed before the voters for consideration. Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office (3120 Pekin Brook Rd) on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. All meetings are open to the public.
Currently, the Commission is working on the 2024 Calais Town Plan. They are also working with the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission to perform a Traffic Calming Study in the East Calais Village on Route 14.
