Friends of the Calais Town Hall

The Friends of the Town Hall is a community organization established to oversee the recent renovations and maintain the day-to-day operations of the Town Hall usage.

APPROVED MISSION STATEMENT: For more than a century and a half, the Calais Town Hall has been a center of the community. Friends of the Calais Town Hall, Inc., is a private, non-profit corporation founded to ensure the space continues to play a role in the town's continuing life going into the future. The organization works not only to coordinate with the Calais Town Select board in preserving the historical integrity of the hall and in overseeing the use of the space for non-municipal functions by interested citizens, but also to provide a broad and inclusive range of cultural and community activities that promote the vitality of Calais as a town: concerts, drama, readings, dances, exhibitions, and more. This is everyone's Town Hall; the Friends organization exists to bring people together there and make them feel welcome.
