General Election November 5, 2024
The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Polls will be open at the Calais Town Hall, 1662 Kent Hill Road, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Absentee Ballots
The state of Vermont will be mailing ballots to all registered voters. Please contact the Town Clerk's office if you do not receive your ballot by October 6, 2024.

Returning Your Ballot
- You may return your ballot by mail using the envelopes provided to you. Please mail it as soon as possible to ensure that it gets to the Town Clerk before November 5.
- You may return your ballot in its signed, sealed envelope at any time to the secure dropbox in the vestibule of the Town Office.
- You may return your ballot in its signed, sealed envelope to the Town Office staff during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- You may bring your ballot to the polling place on November 5, 2024 and vote at that time.
Firearms:
Please note that new state legislation prohibits firearms at all polling places, including Town Clerk Offices during early voting periods.

Register to Vote!
If you would like to register to vote, you can do so:
- online at https://olvr.vermont.gov/
- in person at the Calais Town Office
- by mail by printing out the Voter Registration Form and mailing it to:
